The stuff is just wonderful: crazy, cheesy, funny and wonderful voices. "Cut It Out," "Our Hurricane," "Is That the Same Moon?" "Anyway," "As You Turn To Go," "Pearl Necklace," and "Virginia Reel Around the Fountain" are some faves. I mean, it's all greatness. Maybe I'm nuts, but it seems infectious--a balance of naive, ironic, nasty, bad playing, good playing, good/bad singing... Great stuff, congrats. Very current. When I heard "Zamfir was right when he panned through the night, when he tried to find gold for his lady..." I thought, This is sublime. (29 Jan 1999)
