This album used to be called The Wedding Album. I began recording it about a month before I married Debi and released it about half a year later. The original cover is shown below. When we got a divorced I got my feelings hurt, of course, so I didn't want it to be called that anymore, so I renamed it Midi Skirt (a play on words--that's a midi skirt on the back cover) and replaced the wedding photos with models from Delia*s magazines.
But now my feelings aren't hurt anymore, so I've redone part of the cover again, inserting Debi up there next to the two models on the inside. The main reason I did this is because I like the idea of having the Devicettes featured on the inside cover (a trend I started on the next album) and because Debi hadn't been shown yet. She worked best here, since this is the only album I made while being with her (she simply provided vocals for the first two after I'd made them), and because she's still pretty enough to me to sit alongside the glamour girls.
I would just go back to The Wedding Album, but this never was much of a wedding album anyway, the title (and pictures) aren't distanced enough to be TMD, and mostly I just like the name Midi Skirt (and that's what people know it as now). Okay... so hopefully that's the last bit of history I have to correct for this album.
